2023 At a Glance

Product Impact

This year, DroneDeploy donated 3.1 million dollars worth of software to organizations responding to disasters, protecting natural areas through conservation, and responding to crises. The report highlights incredible stories from across the globe including counting penguins in the Ant-Arctic, building hospitals in Sierra Leone, and Mapping Ancient Ruins in Mexico. Our social impact partners continue to forge a path forward utilizing drones and robotics to work more efficiently and effectively on pressing global challenges.

Spotlight on Sustainability

This year, for the first time we collected and reported our Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. We partnered with Energize Ventures and utilized their platform Metric ESG to conduct an emissions analysis. This report gave us great insight into our impact and will be used as we plan for and develop our environmental strategy in the years to come.

We are pleased to share the results to honor our value of building trust through transparent communications. DroneDeploy’s total greenhouse gas emissions for 2023 were estimated to be 1,224 metric tons of CO2.

Responsible AI

One of the key pillars of our ESG strategy is responsible business. We made significant strides in actualizing our commitment over the past year. We crafted a new responsible technology policy that included principles for AI use. We also implemented new anti-corruption, anti-slavery, and anti-child labor policies, as well as deepened our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are continually exercising our value of building trust through sharing our progress with you.
