DroneDeploy Launches Fixed Camera Integration

April 30, 2024

Integrations with TrueLook, EverCam, Sensera Systems and Timescapes are now available to all enterprise DroneDeploy customers

San Francisco, CA – April 30, 2024 – DroneDeploy, the leading aerial and ground reality capture platform, has announced the integration of fixed cameras into its unified reality capture platform.

The fixed camera capability fortifies DroneDeploy’s existing data captures from aerial drones, handheld 360 cameras, as well as ground-based robots, helping to advance the company’s vision of becoming a central hub for all reality capture data.

Late last year, DroneDeploy announced that it had delivered on the promise of its acquisition of StructionSite and brought both aerial and ground data into the same platform. Customers across DroneDeploy’s key industries of construction, energy and agriculture can interface directly with captured drone imagery, as well as ground-based imagery collected with 360 cameras, creating a comprehensive understanding of any field, site or project. The addition of fixed camera livestream data into the platform further centralizes all reality capture information into a single environment, making it easier for project teams to track deliveries as well as remotely monitor sites for security purposes.

"Our customers are looking for all their reality capture data to be available in one place, with one login. Now, fixed camera photos join aerial and ground 360 imagery, providing a comprehensive view of what’s happening on their job site," said Mike Winn, CEO and co-founder of DroneDeploy. "The result is that the data is democratized to more of the workforce, who are better informed and make better decisions across all of their projects."

Over half of the respondents from DroneDeploy’s State of Reality Capture 2024 survey admitted to using multiple point solutions for reality capture. And nearly 60% of those same respondents said that time switching between solutions was the biggest challenge faced by their teams. Adding fixed camera capabilities to the DroneDeploy platform continues to deliver on the promise of one place for teams to find all their reality capture data.

The fixed camera open beta is available to all DroneDeploy enterprise customers now through the end of the beta period and includes integrations with TrueLook, EverCam, Sensera Systems and Timescapes. To learn more about the integrations and the open beta program, please visit this page.

DroneDeploy is actively accepting additional fixed camera partners to join the integration, to make this feature widely available to customers. Please reach out to [email protected] to enquire about requirements.
